Wyoming State Science Fair Project

It is the intent of the University of Wyoming to become a more active participant in the Wyoming State Science Fair (WSSF) by providing training, technical support and some material support to educators who mentor student projects.  Faculty in departments from the Colleges of Agriculture, Arts & Sciences, Education, Engineering and Health Sciences at the University of Wyoming have volunteered to provide such assistance and provide herein summaries of their areas of specialization.  These individual listings are organized into the fourteen areas of competition recognized by the WSSF. Contact information via email and telephone are also provided for each faculty member.  Further, some pages have links to other URLs that can provide ideas and help in developing science fair projects.

We encourage students and science teachers in grades 6-12 from across the state, to contact these individuals with questions about potential or existing projects.  These listings describe opportunities to learn about potential resources and support in Animal Science, Botany, Chemical And Petroleum Engineering, Chemistry, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Family and Consumer Sciences, Geology and Geophysics, Health Sciences, Mechanical Engineering, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Physics, Psychology, Renewable Resources, and Zoology/Physiology.
