
It is the intent of the University
of Wyoming to become a more active participant in the Wyoming State Science
Fair (WSSF) by providing training, technical support and some material
support to educators who mentor student projects. Faculty in departments
from the Colleges of Agriculture, Arts & Sciences, Education, Engineering
and Health Sciences at the University of Wyoming have volunteered to provide
such assistance and provide herein summaries of their areas of
specialization. These individual listings are organized into the fourteen
areas of competition recognized by the WSSF. Contact information via email
and telephone are also provided for each faculty member. Further, some
pages have links to other URLs that can provide ideas and help in developing
science fair projects.
We encourage students and science
teachers in grades 6-12 from across the state, to contact these individuals
with questions about potential or existing projects. These listings
describe opportunities to learn about potential resources and support in
Animal Science, Botany, Chemical And Petroleum Engineering, Chemistry, Comp
uter Science, Electrical
Engineering, Family and Consumer Sciences, Geology and Geophysics, Health
Sciences, Mechanical Engineering, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Physics,
Psychology, Renewable Resources, and Zoology/Physiology.
