Research Interests:
I love to select an everyday item or situation and research it until it turns into an interesting piece of writing.  For example, I just completed the history of the owners of the 50 year old house that I live in and am now working on research of the plants and marine animals that inhabit the beach where I used to live.  My more academic research involves learning how to be a more effective instructor.

Favorite...
Okay, I admit it--I can't wait to read the 7th Harry Potter book.  My favorite songs are anything by the Beatles and Santana.  My favorite quote?  This month, it's by a fellow named William Shedd:  "A ship is safe in harbor, but that's not what ships are for."

Educational Background:
BA, MA in Theatre, MFA in Creative Writing
