Section 05: TR, 1:20-2:30 Putting Passion into Action: Strategies for Changing the World, One Community at a Time What do you see when you look at your community? Do you accept the status quo or do you see needs that aren’t being addressed? Often times, community members notice problems or injustices in their communities, but feel powerless to do anything themselves. In this class, we’ll explore concrete ways to get involved, shake things up, and change our communities for the better through a serious, hands-on approach. We’ll start right here in Laramie by researching and identifying a community need, writing a detailed plan to address it, and putting that plan into action. In other words, we’ll spend the semester learning to make the world a better place by enacting real community change as a team. Class prerequisites include a passionate heart, an open mind, and a willingness to get your hands dirty.
