GRADUATE STUDY
MASTER OF SCIENCE IN KINESIOLOGY AND HEALTH
The Division of Kinesiology and Health offers programs leading to the master of science degree. Admission into the M.S. degree program is open to students who have obtained an undergraduate degree with a major program of study in the exercise and sport science, health, or physical education teacher education. Those students who have undergraduate degrees in areas outside of kinesiology and health may be granted provisional admission and will be required to complete prerequisite deficient coursework during their first year of graduate study. Students require a minimum undergraduate grade point average of 3.0 (on a 4.0 point scale), three letters of recommendation, and a minimum combined verbal and quantitative score of 900 on the Graduate Record Examination. Teachers who have a minimum of three years K–12 teaching experience and a minimum undergraduate grade point average of 3.0 may submit a Professional Teaching Portfolio in lieu of the Graduate Record Examination.
