Feb. 4, 2003 -- Nearly 45 business representatives will attend the University of Wyoming annual Internship/Summer/Full-time Job Fair Tuesday, Feb. 11, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. in the Wyoming Union Yellowstone Ballroom.

Business, industry and government agency representatives will speak to students about internships, summer and full-time job opportunities within their organizations. The fair, sponsored by the Center for Advising and Career Services (CACS), is free for students in all academic areas and to interested faculty and staff members. For more information call Ann Jones at (307) 766-2398, or e-mail aljones@uwyo.edu.

"Graduating students can meet with employers to discuss permanent job positions after graduation, and second- and third-year students can meet with companies to discuss internships and summer jobs," says Jo Chytka, CACS director. "All students can benefit from the fair by networking with employers and inquiring about the college majors for which the companies and organizations are most likely to hire in the next few years."

Also on Tuesday, the CACS will host an interactive workshop and panel discussion to help students explore career options in the nonprofit sector. Action Without Borders-Idealist.org will lead the discussion from 5-8 p.m. in the Wyoming Union Family Room. The UW Department of English, International Studies Program and Wyoming Honors Organization sponsor the event.
