May 11, 2007 -- "Studies in Scottish Literature" (ENGL 4600) will be offered statewide this summer through the University of Wyoming Outreach Credit Programs.

The course, taught by English Professor Caroline McCracken-Flesher, will introduce the Scottish culture through poetry, fiction, drama, and film by authors such as Burns, Scott, Lochead, and Welsh.

"Students will look beyond the traditional stereotypes and make political and cultural connections with Scotland and the new world order," McCracken-Flesher says.

Offered through video conference technology, the course will be held on three weekends in June.
