 Jason Thompson's research interests include New Media/Digital Humanities, Game Studies, Classical Rhetoric, and Kenneth Burke. He is an active member of the Learning Games Initiative, an interdisciplinary and inter-institutional research collective invested in video game research and collaboration; and he is the founder and director of the UW Game Lab, a research facility for the study, teaching, and building of video games. In collaboration with the Game Lab technician Aaron Galloway- Perrell, Thompson launched the Games Studies Network, a blog-hosting social networking and research tool for like-minded academics and others interested in the growing field of Game Studies.
