- SNAPs
are USDA Food and Nutrition Service initiatives within each state.

Pennsylvania’s SNAP focuses on 18 different vegetables.
Strengths
- Provides
current nutrition information and numerous downloadable resources on each
vegetable, including a newsletter, crossword activity, flyer, bookmark,
table tent, brochure, text for a bulletin board, and recipe cards.
- Includes
information on monthly vegetable events and celebrations.
- Many
resources are available in a larger-print version.

Limitations
- Some
information is Pennsylvania specific.

1996, the Pennsylvania Nutrition Education Network has provided a forum for
public and private agencies and other groups working with the food stamp
population of Pennsylvania to share information about current nutrition
education efforts and to plan and implement innovative strategies.
