Richard McGinity is the Bill Daniels Distinguished Professor of Business Ethics at the University of Wyoming, and in charge of a statewide business ethics initiative. Earlier he was a partner in a Boston-based venture capital fund until starting his own investment banking firm, which serves primarily private firms whose owners seek growth, capital, acquisitions or exit.

He has served on the boards of numerous privately-owned and publicly traded companies, most recently Canada Southern Petroleum Ltd., where as Chairman he led that company's successful defense against a hostile takeover attempt by Petro-Canada.

He is an owner of T Cross Ranch LLC, an historic guest ranch north of Dubois, a licensed professional guide, and is committed to helping preserve the history and natural beauty of Wyoming.

In the 1970's Mr. McGinity served on the research faculty of Harvard Business School where he wrote numerous case studies and co-authored a book about economic development and agribusiness. He has a BA from Princeton, MBA and DBA from Harvard, and served as a Naval Aviator during the Viet Nam conflict.
