Upward
Bound is a federal grant program that provides fundamental support to
participants in their preparation for college entrance.
The program provides opportunities for participants to succeed in their
pre-college performance and ultimately in their higher education
pursuits. Upward Bound serves high school students from low-income
families in which neither parent holds a bachelor's degree.
The goal of Upward Bound is to increase the rate at which participants
complete secondary education and enroll in and graduate from
institutions of postsecondary education.
Why
Donate?A donation to Upward Bound helps young adults in Wyoming achieve a better career than they would be able to otherwise by better preparing them for a higher education. With this higher education, they can come back to Wyoming as trained, capable, and well qualified employees to help Wyoming’s infrastructure grow.
What You Can
DonateAny donation of goods or services. Whether it is school supplies, gift cards, or food items, any donation you can make is greatly appreciated, especially during the six week summer residential program in Laramie.
Many businesses, including Wal-Mart, Dominos, Papa Johns, local theaters, Brown & Gold, Cost Cutters, and the Moose Lodge, have supported Upward Bound in the past with such donations as food, school supplies, prizes, use of facilities and more.
