Terminology for Christianity

• In the West, we call the religion founded by the Christ (i.e., Jesus) Christianity. For example, "Christianity is the largest religion of the northern hemisphere."
• Christian is the term used to designate followers of Christianity. For example, "Christians believe Jesus was the Son of God."
• Christian also functions as an adjective. For instance, "The christian belief in the Holy Spirit as the inspirer of the early Church is clear."
