You might want to create several field assignments for the students to work on over the Holiday Break.   Below are a few ideas:

A. Reports on the Readings below.
B. Application of concepts to given instances of Apocalyptic Behavior from the readings above...concepts such as:
        Alienation
        Immiseration
        Pre-theoretical rebellion and retreat
Marginalization
status panic
cognitive dissonance theory

C.  Participant Observation within a Doomsday Cult
