The mission of the Microscopy Core Facility is to assist researchers and students in their imaging needs of fluorescence and electron microscopy; and to increase the use of microscopes in science education.
The facility currently has one Transmission Electron Microscope (Hitachi-7000), equipped with a 4K by 4k digital camera, one scanning electron microscope (Philips 505) and two confocal laser scanning microscopes (Leica TCS-SP2 - inverted and Bio-Rad Radiance 2100 - upright).
