Produce and obtain Academy approval on a position
paper on breastfeeding.

Assist USBC
in recruiting the American Nurses Association as an
additional organization.

Recruit additional Academy Followers to the Expert
Panel on Breastfeeding.

Propose standards for Schools of Nursing relative to
education of students on the importance of
breastfeeding, the current barriers to successful
breastfeeding and strategies for promoting and
protecting breastfeeding.

Participation on the Technical Workshop on Human
Milk Surveillance and Research for Environmental
Chemicals in the United States, October 2001; with
subsequent publications in the Journal of Toxicology
